Holo-Aging Theory™ is BeauEver’s research framework for understanding skin aging as a connected biological process. Instead of focusing on a single visible concern, we studied how different systems within the skin work together and how those systems change over time.

What is the Holo-Aging Theory

Holo-Aging Theory™ recognises three core biological processes that influence aging, Cellular Communication, Cellular Energy, Extracellular Matrix.

By understanding these three processes, and how they impact the skin across five different dimensions, we are able to develop anti-aging skincare that supports the skin as a whole.  We believe that this holistic approach helps maintain your skin health so that it can stay smoother, stronger and healthier for longer.

Cellular Communication

Skin function depends on precise biochemical signalling between our cells. These exchanges regulate repair, collagen synthesis, inflammation control, and renewal.

With age, signalling fidelity declines. Messages weaken, fragment, or lose coordination, impairing structural maintenance and barrier stability. Loss of communication precedes loss of coherence.

Cellular Energy Decline

In most cells, mitochondria generate ATP, the molecule that stores and transfers energy required for essential cellular functions. In skin, ATP powers repair, renewal, and collagen synthesis.

This energy production depends on NAD⁺, a critical cofactor in cellular metabolism. As NAD⁺ levels decline with age, mitochondrial efficiency can decrease, ATP output falls, and regenerative capacity slows. Over time, diminished cellular energy contributes to structural decline.

Structural Matrix Degradation

The extracellular matrix (ECM), composed of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid provides firmness, elasticity, and tensile strength.

Reduced signalling precision and diminished energy availability slow matrix renewal. Collagen fragments, elastin weakens, structural density declines, and bounce is gradually lost.

Structural deterioration reflects impaired regeneration.
